COMMUNITY RULES

This FREE community is a place to come together to share insights, tips, questions, answers and most importantly support for one another in your managerial journeys.

We are driven to maintain a supportive environment which is why these rules are so important.

And we stick to them.

By being a part of this community you are agreeing to these rules listed below.

JUST BE A DECENT HUMAN BEING

Be polite.

Be constructive when people ask for feedback but don’t be nasty.  If someone wanted a smart comment back, I’m sure they could have approached a whole host of people at work.

This is not the place for that.

That means respecting people’s feelings, privacy and opinions.

If you’re rude or disrespectful or spammy…We’ll have to ban you.

NO RANTS

Everyone has a bad day, and we are here to help.  So think about how we can help you.  Pose a question – don’t just rant.

And don’t be too specific.  People are a lot more likely to help if you get to the point and cut out the unnecessary detail.  We don’t need to know what Sue said to Geoff.

BE HELPFUL

Provide genuine and helpful feedback and suggestions to others.

Ask questions.

Give answers.

Be the kind of supportive friend that you want and need on your managerial journey.

Remember: We are all here to help each other…so give more than you take, please.

NO SELF PROMOTION   

No self-promotion is allowed.

If you have content that you think would be helpful to this group then post it.  But don’t sell anything – that includes products, services, courses, events and programs.

We may break my own rule and promote something if I feel as though it is of service to the group. I reserve that right as it is our group and community.

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS GROUP

Show up daily for a set amount of time and then get back to business.  

You’ve got a team to lead.  That’s not going to happen when you are on social media.

Harsh, but true.

Share your thoughts and experiences because they are valuable to others. 

We’re not gonna lie, this journey is a long and complicated one.

The more insights and guidance, the better!

Give as much as you get

If someone helps you or you get some value from a post or comment, pay it forward and try and help one person in return.
